We and our environment thank you completing your enrolment and pre-course assessment tasks online and for helping us reduce paper waste and environmental concerns by using the login details provided to you.

Pre-course learning times will vary with the type of course and your previous experience and knowledge of first aid. Our students tell us it takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete the online learning assessments prior to your practical session.

Do you know what your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number is?

This Unique Student Identifier is your individual education identifier for life. You must have a USI if you are undertaking Nationally Recognised Training or Higher Education.

When you log in to our student assessment portal, you will be asked to provide a USI number. If you have not yet applied for a USI, you will need to do so prior to attending training with us. This is a very quick and painless process. Click here to apply on-line or check if you have a USI number already. If you have undertaken any registered training since 2015, you may already have a USI. If you don’t have one, applying is easy. There are 4 ways to find your USI number or check if you have one

Email address

Mobile number

Personal details and check questions

Personal details and an ID document

Note: All details entered must be the same details as recorded on the USI account.

Please note that should you not provide your USI number, we will be unable to issue a certificate for the completed course.

Find your USI by clicking here

Under 18 - Parental consent form required

If you are under the age of 18 we must have a consent form completed by your parent/guardian. This can be handed to us on arrival. Failure to supply this form will result in being denied access to training. Consent forms can be accessed by selecting here or by contacting us.

Issuing of Certificates

Certificates are issued via email, or you can log in to your student portal and download immediately after your course if you have completed all assessment tasks and provided a valid USI number. Please check your spam/junk folder if you have not received your certificate.

Certificates are issued by International Paramedic College (Registered Training Organisation 45284) after successful completion of the course, payment has been received and your USI has been verified. All certificates are issued by email. Hard copies or replacement certificates are available, but will incur additional costs. You may order a posted or replacement certificate here

Should your employer require a copy of the certificate; it will be your responsibility to forward a copy to them. Continuing professional development (CPD) points may be available to professionals on accredited courses. Please contact your accrediting professional body for advice.

What you need to bring along on the day of your first aid training

Lunch is not provided (30 Minute beak). A Fridge, microwave and coffee and tea facilities are available at our venues

Pen and note paper

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the practical requirements of the training.

The course will include practical work on the floor and contact with other students/instructors

Physical Requirements Learning Difficulties

Enrolment in this training requires participants to provide details on any learning or physical difficulties which may impact on their training outcomes. This may include any language, literacy or numeracy issues. Please speak with us prior to training if you have any concerns.
Please note that first aid competency standards do require a level of physical ability to meet the evidence requirements for assessment. These standards relate to the level of performance required to provide resuscitation and respond to an emergency situation where there may be risk to life. You will be required to undertake activities on the floor. This includes performing two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult and baby CPR manikin.

Due to the potential risk to health and safety where a nominated first-aider, or worker with duty of care, does not have the ability to perform resuscitation and/or first aid to the performance standard it is not appropriate to issue a statement of attainment to students who are physically unable to meet the assessment requirements.

You will need to have sufficient English language skills to complete the competency-based first aid training and understand instruction in English.

If you feel that you have any current health or learning issues which would prevent you from undertaking such activities, you must contact us prior to your course to discuss the options available to you.
