Participants as in this course learn to provide appropriate patient assessment and follow procedures for safe removal of a patient for transport for pre-arranged or booked transport service. Time of response is not given high priority in comparison to emergency transport.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
Practical components
The practical driving units of this course, HLTOUT010 Implement safe access and egress and HLTOUT007 Transport non-emergency patients under operational conditions will require an Assessment of your driving of an Ambulance vehicle and your ability to access and egress with a patient. This may be completed in your workplace or a workplace you are familiar with and be reviewed by our assessor or may be done at a practical session setup by us.
